Implant-Supported Bridges and Dentures

Dental implants are an excellent foundation for either bridges or complete or partial dentures.

Bridges

When a conventional bridge is placed, teeth on either side of the gap must be reshaped so a crown can fit over them to secure the bridge. But when implants support a bridge, it means that no natural teeth need to be crowned. Implants are placed in the bone as supports for the bridge instead.

When the implants have fully healed and bonded with the bone, a bridge is created to match the natural teeth and it is secured to the implants. We may provide temporary replacement teeth for patients during the implant healing period, depending on the patient’s needs.

Dentures

Implant-supported dentures are the most secure and convenient type of dentures. By securing dentures to implants, patients have a whole new level of comfort and convenience. They no longer have to skip their favorite foods or worry about their dentures coming loose. They can even eat chewy or crunchy foods without worry.

Dr. Khandwala takes care to perfectly match the natural teeth when providing bridges or dentures. She works with her patients to design smiles they would love to show off. Her expert surgical skills mean that the entire process of placing implants and creating the bridge or denture can be done in her office. No referral to another office is needed. All your care is provided by the dentist you already know.
